Covid in our Parish

Since the re-opening of our church for public Mass, it is important to say a big thank you to those Parishioners who have kept us all safe through good stewarding and sanitising at each Mass. The welcoming smile of all the stewards is noted. People were nervous and to some extent still are, with the virus still with us, but the stewards give great reassurance to those attending Mass.

At times we have had to put the sign that our church has reached the maximum numbers allowed to attend. Whilst this is not a nice thing to do, it is important we adhere to guidelines and also  for health and safety reasons for all. People have different health issues and it is important that everyone leads their life with safety as their number one concern. 

We know that our Parish and indeed everyone's life plan in o the future will be different in Covid times. The work of the Lord and the operation of our Parish will proceed but maybe in a different way. All of us should be thinking now about our way forward. We may come back to this later in the summer.

In many ways the future of our Parish and our Diocese may well be an exciting and challenging time. Let us all look forward with hope.
