IMPORTANT NOTICE – HAVE YOUR SAY:
Dun Laoghaire Rathdown Co. Council have proposed a scheme under their Connector program that will bring about major changes to the road layout and access to Dundrum Village.Their stated reason is to provide a safe and accessible walking and cycling route from Dundrum to Dun Laoghaire. If implemented, these changes will: (A) Close off private car Access to Main Street from Ballinteer Road and Barton Road East and surrounding areas. (B) Close off private car Access to Main Street from Upper Kilmacud Road (east of Sydenham Road), including from Knocknashee and Holywell areas. There was a meeting organised by DLRCoCo in the Holy Cross Parish Centre on Tuesday 10th June. No notice of this meeting was received by affected residents or the Residents Association. It was supposed to be a Public Consultation meeting. As a result of this approach by the Council, Business Owners and Service providers from the affected areas are in the process of organising a Public Meeting on this matter. We are awaiting details and will notify residents when confirmed.
